I'm Co Hosting a Party at Fluster Buster

I'm so excited to introduce you to this weeks co-host and featured blogger, Lizy, from Just dip it in Chocolate. At last weeks party Lizy linked up her Death by Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting. Apparently there were a lot of people craving chocolate when they visited last weeks party, because Lizy's cake received a record number of views. It you get a chance stop by Lizy's blog and say "Hi" and while you're there check out all of the wonderful things that she creates, it's not all chocolate.

Buffalo Chicken Deviled Eggs Recipe

Hola Amigos! Happy Monday! Hope everybody is enjoying this long weekend with lots of BBQs, grilling, and just plain fun with family and friends. I was going to start a series of Seasonal Fruits Posts for the entire week, but I got a request from my hubs today to make him his favorite appetizer, Deviled Eggs! Very rarely he asks for something in particular so I agreed to his request because I had a new recipe I wanted to try.
I call them  "True Blue Deviled Eggs" in honor of this Memorial Day, "True Blue" stands for  Loyal, I'm sure we've all heard the expression True Blue American, right? there's also some blue cheese in them so the name is perfect! and now that I think about it, it would be perfect for the 4th of July as well. Here is the recipe
Buffalo Chicken
True Blue Deviled Eggs

1 dozen eggs cooked, cut in half, yolks separated from whites
1 Chicken Breast Cooked and processed to coarse crumbs
6 oz Sour Cream
6 oz Cream Cheese Softened
6 oz Blue Cheese (I used smoked)
8 oz Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1/8 cup Mustard ( I used Smoked Chipotle Mustard)
Franks Hot Sauce
(you could use Buffalo Sauce, but is too hot for the kids here)
dash of pepper
dash of tumeric
dash or garlic powder

In a big bowl add and mix all the ingredients plus the egg yolks until you get a creamy paste, put in the microwave for 1 minute or 2 to melt the mozzarella cheese

. Stuff your eggs with this warm mix and sprinkle some paprika on top!

Listo

I loved this recipe! I think I saw something similar on Pinterest but I couldn't find it to double check I got everything right? Don't you hate when that happens? LOL

It's really tasty and with the left over mix you can use it as a warm dip for bread sticks or crackers.

Thank You for visiting! Have a safe return home if you are traveling, if you are home, stay safe and everybody enjoy the day! Don't forget that everything tastes better with a Pinch Of Love!

Besitos,
Lizy

Patriotic Pool Noodle Wreath

Hola Amigos! re you guys ready for this long weekend ahead? I am, and seems like our old friend "weather" will cooperate too! I got my grilling ready with my Black and Blue Burgers with Pimento Sauce, for some chicken I got my son's Drunken Chicken Recipe, got my drinks going like my Fruity Frozen Sangria, my Blueberry Ice Cream Soda Float and for dessert non other than a family favorite Death by Chocolate! The only thing missing was a little bit of decor...here comes the reliable Pool Noodle.

If you have $5 dollars, 5 minutes and a few last year decorations around you can also make one of these. Just take a ride to your nearest Dollar Store for your Pool Noodle and a few patriotic Hawaiian garlands and in no time your door would be ready for the weekend Holiday.
Last Year's Pool Noodle

As you can see here, I got a few Hawaiian Flower garlands in red, white and blue, got a Hat, a few stars left from last years wreath and a few blowers!!! (noisy maker thingies) lol.

Just wrap the garland around your pool noodle and decorate as you please.
There is no way of placing this wreath the wrong way, hat up, hat to the side inside or outside it looks good!

Since I couldn't appreciate my hat the way I had envisioned in my mind, I decided to use anther $1 dollar item, a cute USA sign! Perfect.

Thank You for visiting the blog my friends, hope you have a great, fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend. Don't forget to remember with a thought or a prayer those men and women of uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country and all of us. Without them we would not be enjoying all the freedom and joy we have today.

Besitos,
Lizy

Beer and Ginger Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Hola Amigos! The weekend is soon approaching and weather willing there will be a lot of grill firing and delicious cooking across the Nation! One of the fundamental elements of a good BBQ and grilling experience is a good Barbecue Sauce.

Now, there is a whole lot of BBQ Sauces to choose from, with different condiments, spices and notes. From the very mild fast food kid friendly flavor to the spicy fire breathing hand me a gallon of milk sauces. All of them good and with  numerous fans each and an entire group of folks falling in between.

Let me start by saying that I'm not a BBQ sauce fan, bottles are purchased in this house for the enjoyment of my husband and teen son. Maybe because I grew up without it and throughout the years, I still haven't developed a taste for it. BUT...sometimes I like to give certain foods a little kick and that is when I use this Homemade BBQ Sauce. To me is the right combination of sweetness and spice to go perfect with any food, not only burgers, but fish, chicken and even beans! oh yeah...love it with Black Beans...but that is another story.
Salmon Burger Dipped in my BBQ Sauce

This is a tomato based sauce and I will try to give measurements to the best of my knowledge, but you know how it is with homemade foods sometimes, everything is eyeballed and never measured.

Beer and Ginger BBQ Sauce

3/4 Cup Beer
1 inch Ginger Root
1 Small onion
 1 Clove Garlic
1tsps oil
1 small Can Tomato Sauce
1/4 Cup Ketchup
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Molasses
1 Tsps Soy Sauce
1 Chipotle Bullion (2 if you want it really hot)

In a food processor, mince with a several pulses the ginger root, onion and garlic. Pulse until you cant' see pieces of garlic anymore. In a medium saucepan, medium low heat, add the Tsps of oil and fry the previous mix until onions are transparent, stirring constantly for it not too stick to the bottom and burn, Add Beer, Tomato sauce, Ketchup, Brown Sugar, Molasses, Soy Sauce and crushed Chipotle Bullion. Bring it to a boil, lower the temperature to low ad cook for 15 minutes on low heat until thickens.
Listo
Makes 1 Cup of Sauce. Stores well refrigerated.

I realize you wont be able to get as much as with your bottles at the grocery store, but it's so rich and tasty that a little goes a long way.

I add a little bit while I'm cooking my beans for a nice smoky sweet flavor and with the fish it was divine! The ginger and chipotle also gives it a subtle heat note, if you want more heat, then add more ginger or chipotle.

Thank You for visiting the blog today! Give this little sauce a try if you are like me and need something with your own personal signature to enjoy your next grilling party!

Remember everything tastes better with a Pinch of Love!

Besitos,
Lizy
